Like many people, I love to have money and I am not willing to be ordinary. I don’t want to receive thousands of small pay checks in my life and do jobs that have been too repetitive and that will almost certainly be replaced by robots in the future.
Before 2017, money was not my friend. In order to make more money, I used to do a lot of work, and even joined several direct selling companies a year. At the time, I went to meetings every weekend for various training, motivation courses, psychology, management, sales… and so on.
• I worked very hard, but my income did not increase!
• I learnt everything, but my income did not increase!
• I can do anything, but my income did not increase!
“Where is the problem, I thought to myself?”
In order to find the truth, I kept searching online to study the success of many multi-millionaires. Many of them are not born into wealth, and their academic qualifications are not high, and even some of their friends are considered to be losers.
So what makes them stand out from many competitors and become super successful?
Finally, I found out that …It is not your knowledge that determines your income, but… mastering your talents.
So the question is, where do I go to find my own talent.
Should I change jobs?
Should I learn new skills?
Just when I was disappointed…
Fortunately… I accidentally discovered the American company “Talent Passcode” on Facebook. At first I thought it was a company like fortune telling or personality testing…. Later, I learned more about this company, Talent Passcode…
I found that talent passwords have been widely used in European and American companies as a team potential development tool since then 1990s. The world’s top 500 companies, such as General Motors, AT&T, HP Computers, and Coca-Cola, are all using this set of potential detection systems.
So I provided my date of birth through their website, and for the first time did their own talent passcode test.
I was very surprised when I got the report!
I realised that my talents are sometimes the things I fear the most, such as public speaking, poetry reading, singing, dancing or entertaining, etc., I didn’t realize that these were also some of my talents, which surprised me.
Suddenly some funny memories back in my school days come to my mind. I remember that whenever a certain event was held in the school, I was often named for the project to go on the stage. Whenever that time came, I tried my best to find ways to refuse to attend or avoid. There is a scene in my memory that I remember very clearly. It was Friday afternoon. I escaped rehearsal. Without anyone knowing, I sneaked into the storage room and hid by the corner cabinet. Later, because someone came in and out from time to time, I changed my mind. Another time I thought “the most dangerous place is the safest place” to hide. This was the old village bathing pool building back in Kuching, behind the school campus.
The name sounds very retro-style, right! It is actually still used occasionally as a spare washroom, and usually nobody will be there because of the distance. But it has evolved into a romantic place for lovers to meet from the school. When I was enjoying the landscape there, someone suddenly came up behind me and startled me. I was scared by this sudden sound, and my foot slipped and I actually fell into the pool. The water was really cold as it was straight off the mountain waterfall. I had to go back to school soaking wet, shivering and my classmates laughing at me. Oh the embarrassment!
Later the principal said “I can’t find anyone who can do this role better than you. Strictly speaking, it’s for you. You’re very talented in this respect. Only people who are born with talent can show it. It must be the most vivid and perfect interpretation, for this singing and dancing performance to work” Especially as this was to be done in both Mandarin and English (which I was still just learning at the time)
So I realised that this was one of my talents that have been forgotten because I was busy with work. Working hard to make money, watching and learning new skills.
I was instantly awakened, I wanted to knock my head to make myself sober, I would tell myself “How can I have forgotten it” Also playing music on the piano and mouth organ was one of my hobbies that I enjoyed so much.
Listening to music is one of the best ways for healing, relaxing your body, reducing stress and tiredness.
My Migrity password also spoke about my driving skills. I used to love motorbike and scooter driving in my hometown and driving challenging vehicles like forklift trucks and diggers on my father’s plantation and my father’s boat on the Sarawak River. I really enjoyed the pungent smell of petrol and diesel and just like the cells in my body these can be activated in an instant and still makes me so happy!
My other talents included designing, artwork and creative activities. I am attracted to this type of project if it is challenging, active and diverse. I still enjoy designing logos and layouts online.
After reading the 17-pages of my talent complete report, I recognised my true self and deeply understood my “talents”. I knew more clearly what my goals should be and where I should focus myself to achieve success.
Once I started working I entered the field of beauty therapy. I have been developing in this field until now. After reading the report, I realized why I had wanted to give up this career several times previously but had failed to. It turns out that service is one of my talents, and serving others is my purpose.
At that time, there was a problem that had been bothering me. I gradually realized that I had lost my previous enthusiasm and interest. I can’t achieve my previous efficiency and quality in this regard. I gradually became negative and pessimistic. The depression of my emotions caused me to feel down almost every day. I often lost my smile that everyone knew me for.
Fortunately, I discovered Migrity. I am grateful to Migrity from the bottom of my heart. It is the detailed analysis and explanation and tutorial in Migrity’s full report that brought me back.
My mind opened up in an instant, and I made a decision immediately. So I spent some time changing myself to a new working environment.
I proposed to my boss and discussed that he makes an adjustment to my original position and be put it in the position of my talent. I was promoted from my original post of beautician and beauty consultant leader and product manager to become a trainer at the company training college.
The result was a massive re-engagement in my interest and motivation in my career.
In this new position, I rediscovered the person who had disappeared for a while. My positive and optimistic attitude led me to be a very successful course trainer in a short period of time.
It was obvious that I was now constantly changing and moving forward in my life. Not only did I train a group of excellent professional beauticians at work, I now have a high-quality and efficient service attitude and spirit that helps bring the beauty center a successful business expansion.
Not only did my income increase significantly, but my living conditions improved. This is a state of life that I had always yearned for but I dare not imagine. Being able to buy my own condo and car was a huge leap forward for me.)
But here I need to mention the process. In order to be successful, I repeated these 3 steps…
- I read my talent report every week, to re-understand it, and to practice my talent.
- I always think about how to use it and use my talents and to draw up an execution plan. I still prefer note paper and pen to do the notes even in this century of technology I still find it so powerful. Taking notes is a discipline that I have always maintained in my life. Whenever there is an inspiration or idea, I will write it down to avoid forgetting it later.
- I plan a daily schedule for myself, my goal map, how I should respond, deadlines and so on. I will design a detailed table for myself.
TIME= MONEY
Frequently communicate with the boss, try to combine your talents with the company’s business, and use them to contribute in an effective way.
Performance at work: I am business savvy, farsighted and have my own standards, as well as a business talent and business development strategy.
My characteristics: I always help the company to provide the best service, almost assured that I can do any job. Everything can be done in a similar way, with high efficiency and fast completion. The important thing is that I can work happily and peacefully with others.
In addition, I try to refuse anything that has nothing to do with my talents and focus on the work related to my talents. I also make bold attempts at some projects that I previously had completely zero-based experience , and I find myself enjoying them now.
Once you start to act, Then it will come naturally. I used my talents and it made me a very fast learner. Find the core purpose of the project in a short time, and quickly complete the project with half the effort to make the company, colleagues and distributors amazed.
Knowing my talents and re-recognising the ones I have had from being a child but possibly avoided. This was especially true of public performances and putting myself “on stage” as the course leader and trainer. This is what I believe is the true benefit of Migrity.
